Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips

Oh my goodness I cannot actually tell you enough how flaming brilliant Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips are...they are AMAZING!!!! I didn't know they existed until my mum saw the new Sally Hansen range in boots and then I did some investigating.

I tried the dog tooth pattern first and didn't really know how to handle them as I had never seen anything like them in terms of their texture. I was used to using nail wraps and having to be quite rough with them and pull them quite tightly to get them smooth. However, this is not how to handle Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips. For a start they are strips of nail polish rather than plastic nail wraps so in my opinion they are easier to apply and must be applied more gently.

In each pack you get 16 nail polish strips which is only enough to cover all of your nails once but you do get lots of spares in case you mess some up. The pack also comes with a nail file/buffer and an orange stick. I found that the strips come in such a good variety of sizes that for most of my nails I could use the strips as they were without trimming them. Therefore, taking up less time to apply.

They seem flimsy to apply as they are so thin but they are actually incredibly easy to apply and are totally wrinkle free. You have to be careful not to pull them with the same force as you would do with nail wraps because they will tear or the pattern will distort. I have found though that if you accidentally pull a bit off that you didn't mean to you can quickly patch it up with the remaining nail polish strip by pressing it down firmly. When it dries it won't move and also no one will be able to tell that you had to patch it up. This has happened to me a couple of times.

Once dry the nail polish strips look and feel like real nail polish which is great. NO jagged edges at all. The strips don't peel off your nails or go wrinkly either which is a major bonus. I wore my nail polish strips to clean and wash my hair various times and they hold up really well.  I think you could easily wear these for a whole week and they would still look good. I have read that if you put top coat on it will preserve their life for even longer.

These nail polish strips are much better value for money than nail wraps in my opinion because they stay looking awesome for much longer and are much more wearable.

You can get them from boots for £7.99 per pack which if you buy them as a special treat that you can wear for over a week I think is pretty good value. You can also buy them on amazon slightly cheaper and they have a much wider range to choose from.

I think these Sally Hansen Nail Polish Strips are pretty great. What do you think? I would love to hear what you think of them!
